Thank you Joe Barton! A man of principle.

Thank you for saying what many of us feel in our gut, what most of us suspect with Obama and his co-conspirators at the helm. “Shakedown” may even be too kind a word. Others come to mind, too, such as “blackmail” or “extortion” or…here’s a good one: “Pay now or you’ll be wearing cement boots in lake Michigan feeding the fish!” Although, mob types are usually far less eloquent.

And angry, fumbling Joe “Squirt-Gun” Biden was excoriating Mr. Barton’s “shakedown” accusation before the media today:

“There’s no shakedown. It’s insisting on responsible conduct and a responsible response to something they caused. And I find it outrageous to suggest that if in fact we insisted that B.P. demonstrate their preparedness to put aside billions of dollars, in this case $20 billion, to take care of the immediate needs of people who are drowning.”

Hey, Joey (Biden loves to be called Joey), you’ve got some nerve preaching about “responsible conduct” and “a responsible response”. Your boss’ administration is complicit in this disaster. Your inspectors signed off on the safety of the rig and then the administration was virtually non-responsive to the help cries from people like Governor Jindal from Louisiana. So don’t you DARE stand there with your feigned indignation and point your fingers at everyone else. YOU and Obama need to display some responsible conduct, YOU need to show a responsible response! You truly are a buffoon!

As Rep. Joe Barton rightfully pointed out, we have in our nation’s legal process something called “due process”. This, too, should apply to BP. You’re putting the cart before the horse by “making” them pay restitution BEFORE they’ve been convicted. This is a shakedown, plain and simple!

Who is REALLY going to profit from this? Which politicians will get some kick-backs? Which lawyers? Whose political campaigns will have access to this $20 billion slush fund?

This is what MUST BE DONE: EVERY PENNY must be accounted for. A full accounting of where the funds go MUST BE MADE PUBLIC! 100% of those funds MUST be applied to those people and places directly affected by the disaster. Not a SINGLE attorney may receive a single penny of that money!

This all stinks to high heaven! Follow the money!

Joe Biden, you claim the role of government is to “protect people who are being taken advantage of”. If that’s the case then step aside, because it’s the GOVERNMENT, YOU, Obama and the rest of you socialists who is taking advantage of the American people! Stop the hypocrisy!
