Few things regularly astound and surprise me as much as the general intellectual vacancy and/or head-in-the-sand approach of the democratic party and all who subscribe to it. Perhaps this can be attributed to a …

How to rule…without friends!

How to rule…without friends!

It cannot be done!

You simply cannot be an effective leader (or tyrant, or dictator, or benevolent, supreme ruler!) if you have no allies! Well, we had allies, but Obama and the regime pawns have demonstrated a unique, nay, unrivaled ability to alienate, even humiliate, those whose support we depend upon the most, those who have been our friends.

Take Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for example who recently was a guest at the White House. Israel has been one of our closest, most important allies, especially considering Israel represents the ONLY stable nation in one of the most volatile regions of the world, an area of the world which is of critical importance to the world economy and world peace.

Here is part of what TimesOnline reported on May 26, 2010:

After failing to extract a written promise of concessions on settlements, Mr Obama walked out of his meeting with Mr Netanyahu but invited him to stay at the White House, consult with advisers and “let me know if there is anything new”, a US congressman, who spoke to the Prime Minister, said.

“It was awful,” the congressman said. One Israeli newspaper called the meeting “a hazing in stages”, poisoned by such mistrust that the Israeli delegation eventually left rather than risk being eavesdropped on a White House telephone line. Another said that the Prime Minister had received “the treatment reserved for the President of Equatorial Guinea”.

But such shameful, arrogant behavior from Obama is typical. He has not learned what many Americans learned long ago from the very first 1962 Spider-Man comic (when Obama was an infant, most likely still back in Kenya):

“With great power there must also come — great responsibility!”

It should come as no surprise, really, that Obama, not exactly known of his sense of responsibility, should treat Mr. Netanyahu in such a disgraceful manner. Only foreign leaders such as Mexico’s Napoleon-sized President Felipe Calderon, bent on subverting our immigration laws, are not only treated with respect, their boots are licked by the President personally, complete with a shine and a state dinner. What does the President have to gain from fawning over this little man? The answer is simple: more dependent democrat voters who live with the expectation of being granted amnesty.

It’s a win-win-win proposition for Calderon. Mexico pawns its welfare cases off on us, what little money the illegal immigrants make is sent to their families back home, and America is populated with people loyal to another country. Mexico not only rids itself of a drain on its own economy but gets a cash infusion while planting the seed for more Mexican influence in our country. In other words: it’s an invasion! Not in the sense of storming across the Rio Grande with an army, but more like a virus, slowly infecting its host until only the virus remains! Inevitably, however, as with ALL viruses, once the host dies, the virus dies with it! Excellent foresight, Barry!

Oh, and now the British. What better allies do we have ANYWHERE in the world?

The London Evening Standard had this to report yesterday:

Mayor Boris Johnson demanded an end to “anti-British rhetoric, buck-passing and name-calling” after days of scathing criticism directed at BP by the President and other US politicians.

Former Conservative Party chairman Lord Tebbit branded Mr Obama’s conduct “despicable”. And with the dispute threatening to escalate into a diplomatic row, Mr Johnson also appeared to suggest that David Cameron should step in to defend BP.

He spoke as the US onslaught against the firm became a “matter of national concern” — especially given its importance to British pensions, which lost much of their value today as BP shares plunged to a 13-year low.

Asked on BBC Radio 4′s Today whether he thought the Prime Minister should intervene, Mr Johnson said: “Well I do think there is something slightly worrying about the anti-British rhetoric that seems to be permeating from America. Yes I suppose that’s right.

I would like to see cool heads and a bit of calm reflection about how to deal with this problem rather than endlessly buck-passing and name-calling.

“When you consider the huge exposure of British pension funds to BP and its share price, and the vital importance of BP, then I do think it starts to become a matter of national concern if a great UK company is being continually beaten up on the international airwaves.

“OK, it has presided over a catastrophic accident which it is trying to remedy but ultimately it cannot be faulted because it was an accident that took place. BP, I think is paying a very, very heavy price indeed.”

Sure, BP shares part of the blame for the oil spill and they’re paying for it, taking responsible action. Obama, however, is only pointing the the finger at others. His administration deserves equal blame. They inspected the rig, not only declared it safe but gave the rig a safety award last year. All was in order according to Obama’s people. I guess they missed a few things, not to mention the complete and utter non-response to making any and all resources immediately available to help bring the spill under control, to protect our coastline.

“In case you were wondering who’s responsible,” Obama told the nation, “I take responsibility.”

You said it, Barry, now live it!

And to top off this stellar array of friend alienation, Obama himself is being abandoned by the very people who were complicit in his regime’s rise to power. As of today, according to Rasmussen’s daily Presidential tracking poll, 43% of the nation’s voters strongly disapprove of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Only 27% strongly approve. That leaves 30% who could go either way. This is an astounding testament to Obama’s unpopularity, yet he governs as if by popular mandate. His mandate merely corresponds to the whims of his ego and to whatever tactics are required to enslave the American people, to make all of us dependent on government…for our own sake!

We all need friends, Mr. President. This is as true in politics as it is in the real world. If we “go it alone”, serving only our own interests, alienating those most loyal to us, we will soon find ourselves truly alone. This may give you some twisted rush of power and invincibility, but YOU are your own—and our—worst enemy. YOU will cause your own downfall. YOU are the Green Goblin, the American people are Spider-Man and Act II is drawing to a close!

“Power is not alluring to pure minds.” —Thomas Jefferson

Update:

We have officially thrown Israel under the bus!

THE WEEKLY STANDARD has learned:

that senior Obama administration officials have been telling foreign governments that the administration intends to support an effort next week at the United Nations to set up an independent commission, under UN auspices, to investigate Israel’s behavior in the Gaza flotilla incident. The White House has apparently shrugged off concerns from elsewhere in the U.S. government that a) this is an extraordinary singling out of Israel, since all kinds of much worse incidents happen around the world without spurring UN investigations; b) that the investigation will be one-sided, focusing entirely on Israeli behavior and not on Turkey or on Hamas; and c) that this sets a terrible precedent for outside investigations of incidents involving U.S. troops or intelligence operatives as we conduct our own war on terror.

While UN Ambassador Susan Rice is reported to have played an important role in pushing for U.S. support of a UN investigation, the decision is, one official stressed, of course the president’s. The government of Israel has been consulting with the U.S. government on its own Israeli investigative panel, to be led by a retired supreme court justice, that would include respected international participants, including one from the U.S. But the Obama administration is reportedly saying that such a “kosher panel” is not good enough to satisfy the international community, or the Obama White House.
