The words we use really do matter…
Yes, thank you President Clinton for that insightful observation. Those words of wisdom coming from you are about as useful as obtaining tax advice from Al Capone. You guys are just too full of yourselves to realize how foolish and arrogant you are. But I guess that depends on what the meaning of the word “are”…is, right Billy?
When George W. Bush was President, his life was routinely threatened. Protesters routinely held signs calling for his death. Where were the arrests? Where was the outcry from the left condemning anti-government rhetoric and death threats to the President? Not only was there no outcry but people like John Kerry were voicing their own desires to kill President Bush. In a 2006 interview with HBO’s Bill Maher:
Maher: You could have went to New Hampshire and killed two birds with one stone.
Kerry: Or, I could have gone to 1600 Pennsylvania and killed the real bird with one stone.
Today, when normal, reasonable, peace-loving Americans assemble during tea party events to exercise their first amendment rights, they are labeled right-wing extreme radicals on the verge of inciting riots, calling for the violent overthrow of the regime. The democrats somehow believe we no longer have the right to question authority. Not long ago, however, even Nancy Pelosi said:
There’s nothing more articulate, more eloquent to a member of Congress than the voice of his or her own constituent.
Conservatives, violent radicals? Nothing could be farther from the truth. This name-calling is all merely an effort to distract attention from unpopular issues such as the health care bill which has been forced upon the American people. They know it’s unpopular so they try to distract by turning the tables, merely changing the subject and pointing their chubby little fingers at conservatives.
What they really want to do is criminalize dissent! Not too long ago Hillary Clinton was lecturing us about our rights to question authority. Now, however, they want conservatives to just shut up and go away. And they already have their sycophantic allies in the mainstream media sending the regime’s message. Regressive stooges such as Eliott C. McLaughlin at CNN, for example, are claiming that Americans who are expressing their disapproval of the Obama regime, “have pressed the boundaries of free speech”. Hey Eliott, did you see any “Kill Obama” signs? Was a life-sized Obama doll burned in effigy? I’ll answer that question for you: NO, you did not!
But there were an endless number of such expressions of “free speech” whenever President Bush was protested. Where were the shouts then that we “have pressed the boundaries of free speech”? I just heard a pin drop!
Ah, yes, the good old Soviet-style of “keeping the people down”, that will be next. Dissent in the Obama regime cannot be tolerated, of course. They’ve even asked you to snitch on your fellow citizens if they criticize the Obama regime. The White House put it like this:
If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov.
That’s a nice way of saying:
If you see or read ANYTHING about health care reform which varies from what WE have been telling you, let us know about it.
Stalin and Hitler encouraged this type of activity. Well done, Barry.
When was the last time conservatives were responsible for a riot? When did conservatives last disrupt a congressional hearing? When did conservatives last release movies and books on how to assassinate the President? It cannot be done. These are liberal tactics.
So all of these claims that conservative activists are somehow a danger to society (and democrats), are merely an attempted, projected distraction from their own unpopularity. It’s a ruse, smoke and mirrors, nothing more. It’s just a juvenile, school yard game of “but what about you?”, to get the attention off of themselves.
We need mature, reasonable adults in government, not a bunch of juvenile delinquents.
Hey, good luck with that. See you in November!
