Progressive?
I conducted a very easy, quick, simple google search for the definition of the word “progressive”. This is what liberals like to call themselves these days. It’s relatively innocuous, a calm, soothing, almost inspirational word…until you examine the word’s meaning in concert with liberal philosophy.
Progressive:
1. favoring or promoting progress
Well, we already know that liberals are in favor of big government, higher taxes, and they they believe the power of government is more effective and capable than the power and ingenuity of the individual.
How exactly do these qualities promote progress? Time and time again we are offered proof on a silver platter that big government is incompetent and that the success of our nation has ALWAYS been derived from the ingenuity of individuals.
2. favoring or promoting reform (often by government action)
In order to achieve the above mentioned objectives, liberals need to make some changes (reform). This usually involves taking away our personal liberties, abusing their own powers, and shredding the constitution…one section at a time.
3. gradually advancing in extent
Which means that over time, gradually, almost so you cannot even notice anymore, they try to take more, and more, and more, and more of our liberties and the fruits of OUR labors.
4. liberal: a person who favors a political philosophy of progress and reform and the protection of civil liberties
Protection of civil liberties?! Hah, what a joke! You must realize that EVERYTHING the “progressives” do is aimed at CURTAILING your civil liberties. How can they otherwise expand the power an influence of government?! They can’t without taking something away from you.
It’s bad enough that they call themselves “liberal”. That’s like Jeffrey Dahmer calling himself a vegetarian. But calling yourself “progressive” when everything you do, everything you stand for stems from ancient and oppressive philosophies which throughout history have proven to be complete failures, you make yourself the fool…once again. I’ll stick with referring to you as Regressives!
